The village of Fortuna and its hot springs rest 30km north of Murcia, the capital city of the Murcia region. Although serenely separated from the frenetic coast, the Mediterranean is still only a 60km jaunt away. A fine stretch of road links Fortuna to the major A7 highway, which connects you with Alicante, Valencia, Andalucía and the A3 highway (your link inland to Madrid).
Alicante's El Altet Airport 60km to the northeast, while Murcia's San Javier Airport is 83km to the southeast. There are dozens of daily flight options to and from the UK. Most flights durations are only a short 2.5 hours.

Getting to Fortuna from the Airports
El Altet and San Javier both have multiple local car rental agencies, as well as international operators like Avis, Europa and Europcar. Cars are usually easy to come by, though it's best to book in advance to save waiting in line and to guarantee your choice of vehicle.
A taxi between El Altet Airport and Fortuna should cost €53, while one from San Javier Airport will set you back around €60. The nearest train station is 19km from Fortuna (about €18 by taxi), while Murcia's station is 30km away (€27 by taxi).
